Cellular operator Zain Kuwait has awarded a network optimisation contract to network planning and optimisation solutions specialist Aircom International. Aircom says it has delivered a three-phase consultancy project to Zain Kuwait that included comprehensive smartphone benchmarking, a complete network audit and inter-operator network benchmarking. Zain is Kuwait’s largest cellular operator by subscribers, with almost 2.2 million customers and a more than 42% market share at the end of June 2012, according to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database.
