LTE roamers Tek a walk with Tekelec and Telstra

20 Sep 2012

Australia’s Telstra Global – a provider of managed network services and international data, voice and satellite services – is offering Long Term Evolution (LTE) roaming across the Asia-Pacific region using Tekelec’s Diameter Signaling Router (DSR). Tekelec’s DSR is providing the diameter signaling hub for Telstra Global’s IPX service announced last month, and enables the secure exchange of authorisation, authentication, billing, charging and network policies that use the diameter protocol to maintain subscribers’ LTE services while roaming on overseas networks. Telstra Global IPX is a platform that enables mobile operators to introduce new services and applications and capitalise on applications such as mobile gaming and videostreaming.
