Infratel looks for USD1bn from IPO

Indian towerco Bharti Infratel has filed a draft prospectus for an initial public offering (IPO) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India, reports the Business Standard. The paper added that the IPO is expected to raise around USD1 billion to be used for future capital expenditure, though Bharti Airtel, which holds an 86% stake in the company will not be tendering its shares in the IPO.
