Having launched a HSPA+ (21Mbps) network in May 2011, which was capable of supporting DC-HSPA+ (42Mbps) speeds, Etisalat Sri Lanka has finally begun selling DC-HSPA+ capable devices for users of the network, which it says is 42Mbps-enabled across its entire national 3G footprint. The HSPA network covers over 45 main population centres, according to the cellco’s own coverage map. The company is claiming a first in Sri Lanka by offering a range of DC-HSPA+ devices including USB dongles for individual mobile use and wireless routers for home and business purposes.
