Greek entrepreneur Panos Germanos and mobile/fixed network operator Wind Hellas have reached a cooperation agreement that will see Mr Germanos acquire a 10% stake in Wind before 2016 in exchange for selling the telco’s products and services on an exclusive basis for 15 years at his group’s Multirama and Public branded retail stores, reports Ekathimerini.com. In addition to the issuing of new Wind shares for free to the businessman – who formerly owned the Germanos retail chain before selling it to Wind’s larger Greek telecoms rival OTE/Cosmote – the cooperation deal is aimed at complementing the existing Wind branded retail outlet network, as well as sharing knowledge and resources between the two groups’ sales distribution networks.
