Polkomtel/Aero2 ink expansion deal with NSN

Polish cellco Polkomtel, which operates under the ‘Plus’ brand, and its partner through a full infrastructure sharing agreement Aero2 have selected Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) to modernise and expand the companies’ GSM, HSPA+ and Long Term Evolution (LTE) networks. Under the contract NSN will extend the cellcos’ 3.5G and 4G networks, deploying its Flexi Multiradio Base Stations and Flexi Multiradio 10 Base stations. The Finnish vendor will also upgrade Polkomtel/Aero2’s existing Radio Access Network (RAN) with its single RAN platform.
