Myanmar Post and Telegraph (MPT), the country’s state-owned national telecoms provider, has awarded a contract to Canada-based optical networking firm Optelian to supply Dense Wave Division Multiplexing (DWDM) systems for its cellular backhaul and backbone networks. MPT is installing Optelian’s LightGain DWDM wireless infrastructure throughout the country with support and installation services from local systems integrator Myanmar World Distribution.
