Etisalat Nigeria, the local unit of United Arab Emirates telco Etisalat, has expanded its ‘3.75G’ mobile broadband service to a further eight cities, namely Abeokuta, Jos, Ilorin, Calabar, Akure, Oshogbo, Uyo and Asaba, reports local newspaper Leadership. As noted in TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, Etisalat launched its ‘easyblaze’-branded Dual Carrier-HSPA+ (DC-HSPA+) network in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Kano, Kaduna, Zaria, Warri, Enugu, Aba, Awka, Nnewi, Onitsha and Benin in September 2011. The service offers maximum download speeds of up to 42Mbps.
