PCCW’s HKT reports 3% EBITDA rise

Hong Kong-based PCCW’s core telecoms unit, HKT, has reported its financial results for the six months ended 30 June 2012, in which the company’s total revenue increased by 2% to HKD9.715 billion (USD1.253 billion), and EBITDA increased by 3% to HKD3.736 billion, driven by growth in both fibre broadband and mobile businesses. Profit attributable to shareholders increased by 45% to HKD778 million in the half-year period.
