Croatia is set to get a new cellular provider next month when triple-play fixed network operator H1 Telekom launches its planned mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) service under the ‘H1 Mobile’ brand, according to daily newspaper Vecernji list. H1 is piggybacking on the network of an existing Croatian cellco to complete a quadruple-play portfolio of fixed line voice, broadband internet, IPTV and cellular voice/data services. President of the board at H1, Kristian Curkovic, was quoted: ‘We can confirm that H1 Telekom will soon present its new mobile network, H1 Mobile, with a prefix of 090 and that we will be the first [Croatian] fixed line telecom operator that has moved into the mobile phone segment.’
