Netia books PLN9.85m Q1 loss

Polish internet service provider (ISP) Netia, recently enlarged by its acquisitions of Dialog Group and Crowley Data Poland, has posted total revenues of PLN544.28 million for the three months ended 31 March 2012, up 35.7% year-on-year. The company’s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) for the period under review was PLN133.01 million, with an EBITDA margin of 24.4%. Netia booked a net loss of PLN9.85 million for Q1 2012, as the company spent PLN13.3 million to service loans for its acquisitions.

Netia reported 2.793 million revenue generating units (RGUs) for the period, compared to 2.789 million in Q4 2011. The ISP reported a slight increase in broadband subscribers to 912, 408, whilst voice subscriptions dropped to 1.728 million from 1.744 million in the previous quarter.
