Entel reveals pay-TV plans

4 May 2012

Following its failed bid to take over Grupo GTD, Chilean telco Entel has announced plans to launch its own pa-TV service, reports Rapid TV News. The development will allow Entel to move forward with its plan to offer triple-play services, a strategy it developed to enable it to compete on a level footing with rivals Movistar, Claro and VTR. The pay-TV service will be offered via satellite and wireless networks, and will initially be made available in urban areas.
