Optima sees 47.7%, 16.2% IPTV, DSL growth

Croatian alternative telco Optima Telekom has reported that its fixed broadband and IPTV subscribers on its unbundled local loop (ULL) network grew by 16.2% and 47.7% respectively year-on-year to 72,300 and 17,500 at the end of March 2012. Quarter-on-quarter, the two totals increased by respective percentages of 4.9% and 14.4%, as Optima’s total fixed line, broadband and IPTV revenues increased by 24.6% year-on-year to HRK145.8 million (USD25.7 million) in the three months ended 31 March. EBITDA climbed by 21% year-on-year to HRK21.5 million in Q1 2012, and quarterly net loss was down by 33.9% compared to the same period of 2011.
