Chinese vendor Huawei Technologies has announced that it has partnered with ICT solutions provider Intel Corporation to advance the development of interoperability testing and the deployment of Time Division Duplex Long Term Evolution (TDD-LTE). The two companies will establish a joint lab in China to hasten the implementation of TDD-LTE technology. Under the agreement, Intel will connect directly to Huawei’s infrastructure to carry out end-to-end testing of its mobile platforms. A spokesperson for Huawei, Deng Taihua, said in a statement: ‘Huawei has been committed to TDD-LTE commercial deployment worldwide. We will continuously invest in TDD-LTE research and deployment as well as the global expansion of TDD-LTE networks.’
Vice President of Intel Architecture Group W.K. Tan added: ‘Collaborative innovation is Intel’s strategy in China. The engagement with Huawei will take advantage of the two companies’ strengths and leading technologies. We are committed to working together with partners in China to build a healthy TDD-LTE ecosystem within China and even beyond.’
