ArmenTel launches Hi-Line Optic FTTB service

Armenian fixed and broadband operator ArmenTel, which offers services under the Beeline banner, has announced the commercial launch of fibre-to-the-building (FTTB) broadband services in the country. The telco is launching the new technology in the Ani district of Gyumri under the banner ‘Hi-Line Optic’, offering subscribers an unlimited symmetrical service (under its ‘Ultra’ plans) from AMD6,000 (USD15.42) per month for the entry-level 2.5Mbps connection. Other plans are available for faster symmetrical connections, namely: 3.5Mbps (AMD8,000), 5Mbps (AMD12,000), 6Mbps (AMD15,000) and 12Mbps (AMD20,000), respectively.
