Vietnamese telecommunications and software company the Corporation for Financing and Promoting Technology (FPT) posted revenue of VND26.0 trillion (USD1.23 billion) in the twelve months ended 31 December 2011, an increase of 27% year-on-year. The firm said pre-tax profit totalled VND2.515 trillion, up 24.3% compared to 2010, while profit after tax grew 23.5% year-on-year to VND2.088 trillion. Telecommunications unit FPT Telecom earned revenue VND3.489 trillion in 2011, an increase of 42% compared to the previous year, and profit of VND801 billion, up 33% year-on-year.
