According to India’s Economic Times, Batelco is said to be ‘exploring all options’ regarding its 42.7% stake in STel. The company is rumoured to be considering the sale of up to 30% of its holding in the Indian cellco. STel launched services at the end of 2009 and at the end of June had garnered 3.3 million customers, although this corresponds to just a 0.4% share of the crowded Indian wireless market.
