Bollore Telecom complete national WiMAX coverage

Bollore Telecom, the telecoms subsidiary of Bollore Group, has acquired two regional WiMAX licences from Altitude Telecom covering the Alsace and Burgundy regions, to complete its national coverage. According to Le Figaro newspaper, Bollore Telecom now boasts nationwide coverage with a portfolio of regional WiMAX licences in the 3.5GHz band. In total, it holds 30MHz of spectrum and will offer broadband services using 4G wireless equipment – according to a statement on the company’s web site. The transaction amount was not disclosed.
