Drillisch posts 7% rise in 9M EBITDA, raises full year guidance

German mobile service provider Drillisch has posted its preliminary results for the nine months ended 30 September 2009, reporting a 5% decline in revenue year-on-year to EUR252.1 million (USD371.3 million). The company generated third quarter 2009 revenue of EUR89.7 million, down from EUR91.8 million in the same period a year earlier. Meanwhile, earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 7% in the first nine months of 2009 to EUR37.2 million, and totalled EUR11.6 million in Q3, up from EUR10.5 million in the same quarter of 2008. As a result, the firm has increased its full year EBITDA guidance from EUR41-42 million to EUR43 million. Drillisch’s gross profit increased 8.3% in the nine months ended 30 September 2009 to EUR59.9 million, and rose 7.2% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2009 to reach EUR21.9 million.

Drillisch reported a mobile subscriber base of 2.237 million at 30 September 2009, down from 2.323 million a year earlier. Of the total, 946,000 were post-paid customers and 1.291 million took a pre-paid option.
