Irish alternative broadband provider Smart Telecom could fall under new ownership within a month, with the news that two firms – Complete Telecom and Planet 21 – are in talks to purchase the company. The Sunday Times newspaper writes that the anticipated sale of Smart, for EUR12 million-EUR15 million (USD16.7 million-USD20.9 million) is being pushed through by bondholders who could at any time request ‘immediate repayment’ of EUR47.9 million.
