ForthNet rejects private equity offers as too low

22 Jun 2009

Greek alternative telephony and broadband provider ForthNet on Friday rejected offers to take a stake in the company from private equity funds Apax and Permira, as it considered the bids too low, writes Reporter.gr. The operator’s filing to the Athens Stock Exchange read that ‘…after evaluating the progress of the ongoing until today discussions with the relevant international private equity funds regarding the indicative offers submitted by them for their participation in the company’s share capital, [ForthNet] decided not to continue the procedures.’
