Western Canadian triple-play cableco Shaw Communications has reported that in its fiscal second quarter ended 28 February 2009 it added 4,270 basic cable TV subscribers, for a total of 2.27 million. Digital TV customers grew by 106,490 to 1.08 million in the three months, while broadband cable modem internet subscribers increased by 26,130 to 1.63 million, and digital fixed voice lines in service rose by 50,850 to 719,380.
