Cosmote aims to double business customer base

14 Jan 2009

Romanian cellular operator Cosmote says it is hoping to more than double its business customer base in 2009, despite the uncertain economic climate. The firm says it is modernising its retail network and improving services such as mobile e-mail. ‘We want an increase by 100% of the number of business clients and even more,’ Stefanos Theocharopoulos, CEO of Cosmote Romania, told the ACT Media news agency. Cosmote is Romania’s third-largest mobile operator behind Orange and Vodafone, with 5.3 million subscribers and a 20% market share at the end of September according to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms database.
