The Finnish mobile security solutions provider Valimo says the mobile electronic signature system it deployed for Turkey’s largest wireless operator, Turkcell, has been used 1.8 million times in the 19 months since its launch. The solution, which creates an electronic signature using SIM card details and a PIN number, allows Turkcell subscribers to conduct financial transactions from their cellular handsets. The system has now been adopted by 13 Turkish banks, Valimo says.
