Abertis interested in Italian cell tower network

The Spanish company Abertis Infraestructuras is leading a consortium which has made a bid to acquire the cellular towers being offered for sale by Italian cellcos Wind and 3 Italia, Thomson Financial reports. The financial details of the bid have not been disclosed. The tower network is valued at between EUR1.5 billion and EUR2 billion (USD2.4 billion to USD3.2 billion).
