SK Telecom has reiterated that it is not in talks with China Telecom Corp to buy a stake in the Chinese fixed line telco. ‘The report is not true. We haven’t contacted China Telecom, nor are we in talks with it,’ said SK Telecom spokeswoman Mina Ryu, responding to a story that first appeared in China’s Oriental Morning Post. SingTel and Qualcomm were also mentioned as possible investors, but both have so far declined to comment on the matter.
