Vodafone UK has revealed plans to extend coverage of its 7.2Mbps HSDPA network to an additional three million people living in Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester and Reading. As it stands, Vodafone’s top speeds are only available in London and major British airports. The extended network is expected to be completed by autumn 2008. Vodafone will also use HSUPA to increase upload speeds to a theoretical maximum of 1.8Mb, compared to 300Kbps at present
