Telio reports 25% growth for the year

Nordic VoIP provider Telio has reported a strong set of results for the year ended 31 December 2007. The provider added 19,200 subscribers over 2007, taking its total to 144,800 by the end of the year. Revenues grew 25% to NOK362.3 million (USD69 million) from NOK290.8 million in 2006. EBITDA soared 225% to NOK63.7 million (USD12.2 million) and EBIT rose to NOK14.2 million compared to a loss of NOK16.7 million the previous year. EBITDA margins for the year rose significantly to 18%, from 7% in 2006.

During the fourth quarter, ARPU was reported to have recovered slightly to NOK268, but was still some way from the high point of ARPU NOK300 during the same period in 2006. Towards the end of Q3 2007, Telio realigned its strategy to focus on business broadband telephone services which reportedly drove growth in 2007.
