Canadian cableco Videotron yesterday launched two new residential high speed internet services in Laval, Quebec, delivering maximum download speeds of 30Mbps and 50Mbps. Ultimate Speed Internet 30 and Ultimate Speed Internet 50 cost CAD64.95 and CAD79.95 per month respectively, and will gradually be rolled out across the rest of Videotron’s service area in Quebec. The total file transfer limits (uploads and downloads combined) for USI 30 and USI 50 are 30GB and 50GB per month, respectively, which, unfortunately for consumers, means that the monthly bandwidth cap could be reached in around two hours of downloading.
