Huawei Technologies has announced that it has successfully helped Indian telco MTNL to deploy its MPLS backbone network, enabling it to provide customers with a variety of carrier-class services including internet, VoIP and IPTV. The successful deployment will aid MTNL transform its legacy TDM network into an IP MPLS bearer network which will support more services. The MPLS backbone network contract was awarded to Huawei after ‘stringent technical and commercial evaluation.’
