Mobile-8 believes in b-Live; claims a first for BREW

21 Dec 2007

Indonesian wireless operator Mobile-8 Telecom has launched a new data-based service, dubbed b-Live, via a Qualcomm-supplied Binary Runtime Environment for Wireless (BREW) platform – the first time the technology has been offered commercially in the country. At launch b-Live will be available to subscribers on its FREN-branded network via several entry level handsets, including the operator’s Fren-ZTE, C 300 and Fren-ZTE C 330 models. TMCnet writes that b-Live will deliver a host of applications including games, news, lifestyle information, ringtones, horoscopes and dictionary services.
