German incumbent Deutsche Telekom plans to slash 250 jobs at its Austrian mobile subsidiary, around 15% of the unit’s workforce, according to Austrian magazine Format, citing unidentified sources. Some 150 of the jobs are to be eliminated as soon as possible, while the remaining 100 will be axed in the first half of next year. Deutsche Telekom has not commented.
