Indian cellco Reliance Communications has announced results for the three months ending 30 September 2007, which show a 6.4% increase in revenue to INR45.8 billion (USD1.15 billion) compared to the previous quarter. EBITDA rose 8.1% to INR19.6 billion while net profit climbed 6.9% to INR13.05 billion. Wireless operations generated 66% of the total, with the group’s Global division contributing 24% and Broadband 8%. At the end of the quarter Reliance claimed a total of 36.32 million wireless customers, of which 31.20 million were connected to its CDMA networks and 5.03 million to its GSM infrastructure. At the same date it had 792,000 broadband customers across 42 Indian cities.
