Bouygues picks Miyowa’s IM solution

5 Sep 2007

French mobile operator Bouygues Telecom has contracted Miyowa, a developer of a mobile Java version of Windows Live Messenger, to offer an instant messaging service in France via Miyowa’s MoveMessenger technology. From this autumn, Bouygues customers will be able to access the web for Microsoft news and alerts, and Windows Hotmail applications. MoveMessenger provides an end-to-end solution, incorporating content distribution and advertising capabilities, and billing information. The cellco is understood to be including Windows Live Messenger free-of-charge for new customers with selected handsets. Its offer is believed to be valid until the end of September.
