Retailer Carphone Warehouse’s German subsidiary The Phone House (PH) is to withdraw from the mobile service provider market to concentrate on its resale business, blaming low margins for the decision. It aims to have exited the German provider arena by April 2010. PH has signed a resale agreement with T-Mobile Germany beginning on 1 January 2008, allowing it to market the cellco’s consumer and business tariffs, and hopes to sign similar agreements with the other German operators.
