Cablemas announces 2Q results

Mexican cableco Cablemas has announced a 14.4% increase in revenue in the second quarter of 2007 to MXN657.1 million (USD59.3 million), compared to MXP574.3 million in the same quarter of 2006. Adjusted EBITDA rose 18.6% to MXN260.1 million while net income jumped 221.9% to MXN47.2 million. The number of homes passed by the network increased by over 17% to 2.16 million, while cable TV customers climbed 14.6% to 753,161, high speed internet users rose 41.8% to 203,890 and IP telephony connections almost doubled to 30,202.
