Centennial deploys Portico VoIP equipment

7 Jun 2007

IP equipment vendor Citel has signed a deal with Centennial de Puerto Rico to supply its Portico telephone VoIP adapter (TVA) for Centennial’s Aptus service for business users. Citel’s Portico TVA enables businesses to migrate to VoIP using their existing handsets and infrastructure. It connects to the Aptus network to give access to hosted IP telephony, the company said. Citel said BroadSoft will supply its Broadworks telephony platform to Centennial as a third partner in the venture, which is expected to accelerate migration to hosted IP in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.
