The Filipino telecoms regulator the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) has published new draft guidelines on consumer protection rights concerning the provision of telecommunications, broadcast, or cable television (CATV) services. The draft, which calls on all communications and broadcast firms to give consumers equal treatment and protect individuals’ data protection and privacy rights, will be the subject of a public hearing on 10 April.
