Armenian Datacom Company inks IP/MPLS deal with Alcatel-Lucent

22 Feb 2007

Alcatel-Lucent today announced that Armenian Datacom Company, a communications data provider in Armenia, has selected the vendor to supply an IP/MPLS network capable of delivering high quality data and internet services to business and residential customers in the country. The new IP/MPLS network will cover most of the capital, Yerevan, allowing Armenian Datacom to offer broadband internet access and virtual private LAN services (VPLS) for corporate customers. By running all services on a single, next generation IP infrastructure, it hopes to achieve significant economies of scale and maximise profitability within a streamlined and simplified network.
