Motorola completes Mobinil network expansion

Motorola has announced the completion of a GSM network expansion project with Egypt’s Mobinil, which has allowed the operator to extend its coverage in Cairo, Delta, Alexandria and the North Coast regions and increase capacity by three million subscribers. ‘With Motorola’s network expansion and enhancement project, we were able to substantially reduce capital expenditure and operating expenditure, which made it possible for Mobinil to offer extremely competitive price per minute packages to its valued subscribers,’ said Alex Shalaby, Mobinil’s president and CEO.
