Mobile operator Telenor Pakistan has sealed a 20-year deal with ISP Multinet Pakistan to utilise its long haul fibre transmission network, Multinet’s parent Telekom Malaysia said in a statement. Multinet will also provide Telenor with maintenance and associated services for the duration of the contract. The aggregate value of the deal is estimated at USD40 million. Multinet’s 4,100km fibre-optic backbone connects 107 cities across Pakistan and provides international links via the SEA-ME-WE4 submarine cable.
