freenet.de 3Q revenues up 8%; EBITDA down 27%

German broadband provider freenet.de has announced a year-on-year increase in revenue of 8% for the first three quarters of 2006, to EUR551 million (USD704 million). The number of DSL customers rose by 75,000 in the third quarter to 905,000, on the strength of which the operator has set itself a target of one million subscribers by the end of the year. Despite these rises, EBITDA for the first nine months of 2006 was down 27% compared to the same period in 2005, at EUR70 million (USD89 million).
