Bangladeshi wireless market leader GrameenPhone has reported 11% year-on-year revenue growth for the quarter ended 30 September 2006. During July-September it added 945,000 new customers to take its subscriber total to 9.404 million, up by 123% in twelve months; it now claims to have a 63% market share. Predictably, this increase led to a further fall in monthly ARPU, by 9% to USD6.35 in 3Q.
