Fixed line operator Moscow City Telephone Network (MGTS) is to launch a fixed-to-mobile SMS messaging service in cooperation with the country’s second largest cellco, Vimpelcom. The service is currently being tested and is due to be launched by the end of the year, reports Prime Tass. MGTS already offers fixed-to-fixed SMS services, plus fixed-to-mobile services to customers of number one cellco MTS.
