French vendor Alcatel says it has completed the upgrade of the network of South Korean fixed line operator hanarotelecom (Hanaro). Alcatel deployed its intelligent optical solution, based on its 1678 Metro Core Connect and Optical Multi-Service Node systems, which it says will provide the telco with ‘a single, high-performance solution integrating optical and data functionality’.
