Kuwait’s Mobile Telecommunications Company (MTC) is considering making a bid for Greek mobile operator TIM Hellas, the Bahrain Tribune reported yesterday. Private equity firms Texas Pacific Group and Apax Partners are seeking to sell the cellco for up to EUR4 billion (USD5.1 billion), less than a year after completing a USD1.38 billion purchase of the company.
