Taiwanese cellular operator Far EasTone has selected Ericsson to deploy high speed packet access (HSPA) and IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) technologies. The deal also covers the expansion of the cellco’s existing 3G W-CDMA networks into the country’s central region. Ericsson has been supplying 3G equipment to Far EasTone since 2005. The value of the latest contract was not disclosed.
