Sri Lankan WiLL operator Lanka Bell sold its 225,000th CDMA line earlier this week, 21 months ahead of the three-year deadline set by the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (TRC). In a congratulatory message to the company, Director General of the TRC, Kanchana Ratwatte said: ‘The desired objective of the CDMA network was to reach the vast majority of the Sri Lankan masses who did not have connectivity. In this endeavor Lanka Bell has made significant progress in achieving this milestone.’
