Greece’s OTE has said that it is has received eight bids for its 90% stake in Armentel. The shareholding, valued at approximately USD140 million, was put up for sale by OTE in April 2006. Russian press reports indicate that AFK Sistema has declared its interest in bidding for the Armenian telco.
