Filipino mobile operator Globe Telecom and Research In Motion (RIM) have jointly announced the launch of the BlackBerry 8700g handset on the former’s high speed EDGE network. The new handset provides quad-band support, dedicated ‘send,’ ‘end’ and ‘mute’ keys, smart dialling, conference calling, speed dialling, speakerphone, and Bluetooth support for hands-free headsets and car kits.
